Home of Engine 2 & Ladder 3 & Brush 11

Early this morning HQ Engine 2 made a trip down south to help our friends at the @westsayvillefiredepartment and standby while they operated at a fatal house fire in Oakdale
This evening HQ Engine 2 along with Lakeland Engine 5, Rescue 6, and EMS crews handled a Multi Car MVA with entrapment at Smithtown Av and South 2nd Street. Lakeland crews worked diligently along with SCPD 5th Precinct Officers and SCPD ESU to safely extricate patient, secure the vehicles + debris in roadway, and ensure transport to hospital for those injured… A great response and strong work by all our first responders tonight!
Thank you to John from JWL Automotive in Bohemia for donating vehicles towards our firefighter training and thank you to Elite Towing for transporting the vehicles to our training grounds.
Ladder 3 spent the evening training at the @nassaucountyfireserviceacademy , focusing on garden apartment fire operations. Alongside our EMS company, Station 1, and Station 2, the crews worked on stretching lines, locating hidden fire, laddering courtyards, and conducting coordinated searches. Strong work by all training prepares us for when it matters most.

On Thursday, September 11th, Ladder 3 proudly provided an arch detail for the Suffolk County 9/11 Ceremony in Hauppauge, in addition to participating in our own department’s memorial.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and supported these events. Let us never forget the lives lost and the heroes who emerged on that tragic day.

On this day, we pause to remember the five members of Lakeland we lost on September 11th, 2001. Four served with the FDNY, and one with the NYPD. We also honor the countless first responders and civilians whose lives were taken on that fateful day, and in the years that followed.
Their courage carried them into danger when others fled. Their sacrifice reminds us of the cost of service, and the strength of community. Their memory remains with us always.
May they Rest In Peace, and may we Never
 Forget.

Last night, Headquarters Ladder 3 attended our Department County Interior Drill @scfa_li on taxpayer fires alongside our EMS company, Station 1, and Station 2.

It was a strong showing across the department, fire and EMS working shoulder to shoulder, sharpening skills and strengthening teamwork to better serve our community.
